Connectivity

Ultra-broadband connectivity over a proprietary network for enterprise companies, government agencies, and multi-site organizations.

Home / Managed Services / Connectivity

Dedicated fiber, SD-WAN, MPLS, FWA on licensed spectrum, with 24/7 proactive monitoring, native DDoS protection, and BGP support.

Connecting people, locations, and systems is the starting point for every business process. Abacus Managed Services achieves this through customized technologies, a proprietary network, and round-the-clock human support.

THE CONTEXT

The corporate network is no longer just a utility.
Connectivity is a critical asset.

With 50% of enterprise WAN traffic directed toward the cloud and SaaS, and 31% of IT downtime caused by network issues, connectivity has become the backbone of every operational process.
Latency fluctuations, unguaranteed bandwidth, and a lack of redundancy directly result in application inefficiencies, lost productivity, and—for those within the NIS2 scope—the risk of noncompliance.

ACCESS TECHNOLOGIES

Connectivity profiles for each type of location.

Up to 10 Gbps symmetrical, 100% guaranteed bandwidth

Dedicated point-to-point fiber connection, not shared. Minimal latency, stable jitter, SLA uptime of up to 99.99%. The benchmark solution for connecting locations with mission-critical workloads operating 24 hours a day.

Ideal for: Headquarters, corporate data centers, and environments that cannot tolerate any decline in performance.

Up to 10 Gbps symmetrical, 100% guaranteed bandwidth

A wireless alternative to dedicated fiber for locations where cable installation is not feasible. Same guarantees of symmetrical bandwidth and high-quality service, with faster activation.

Ideal for: Locations in industrial areas or areas with limited cabling infrastructure, urgent deployments.

G-PON and XGS-PON standards, high configurable BMG.

Fiber access with on-premises delivery. XGS-PON provides superior symmetry compared to traditional G-PON, with BGM configurable based on the selected profile.

Ideal for: Branch offices with high-bandwidth needs but no exclusivity requirements.

Up to 300 Mbps download/50 Mbps upload.

Highly reliable wireless connectivity for locations not served by fiber. The same quality standards and support as wired solutions.

Ideal for: Locations in rural or outlying areas, remote offices, active backup solutions.

Automatic failover across heterogeneous technologies.

Each connectivity profile can be configured with a secondary circuit using a different technology than the primary one. Automatic failover covers both data and voice components, while maintaining public IP addresses.

Ideal for: Any location with business continuity requirements—especially NIS2 environments and regulated industries.

NETWORK ARCHITECTURES

Architectures for Multi-Site Environments

Managed SD-WAN

Software-Defined Enterprise Network:Dynamic Traffic Routing Across Multiple Connections

The SD-WAN platform implements an overlay network via IPSec tunnels between devices at each location, independent of the underlying IP network. Application traffic is routed along the highest-performing path in real time—ERP and VoIP over the primary fiber link, general traffic over the backup connection—with automatic load balancing in the event of a degradation on one of the links. Compatible with any access technology (fiber, FWA, 4G/5G, MPLS).

Available with centralized visibility across all locations, periodic reports on network KPIs, and connection scalability without the need for redesigns.

Ideal for: multi-site organizations that require centralized orchestration and application traffic optimization.

MPLS – Multi-Site Private Network

Private network with label switching: complete isolation of corporate traffic from the public network

MPLS connections are dedicated links with contractually defined latency and QoS. Available at Layer 2 (E-Line/E-LAN, LAN extension over a geographic network) and Layer 3 (L3VPN, application-aware policy-based routing). Compatible with SD-WAN for hybrid architectures.

Ideal for: environments with high requirements for guaranteed latency, traffic isolation, and regulatory compliance (NIS2, regulated sectors).

MPLS and SD-WAN are also available in a hybrid architecture

SD-WAN for branch offices and backup connections; MPLS for mission-critical traffic between main offices. A solution that optimizes performance and TCO across the entire geographic network.

How We Manage Your Connectivity

No call center. Technical staff with direct access to real-time connection monitoring tools and firsthand knowledge of the customer’s infrastructure.

Technical site survey, traffic profile analysis, and design of the optimal architecture for each location. No one-size-fits-all solutions: every proposal is tailor-made.

Everything is handled by our in-house technical staff: installation, activation, configuration, and verification of service parameters against the contracted SLAs. No subcontractors.

A proprietary system that detects anomalies and potential issues before they lead to service disruptions. Automatic alerts trigger preventive action procedures without waiting for a customer report.

DIFFERENTIATORS

Why Abacus Managed Services
s for Connectivity

Proprietary network with a presence in national IXPs

Direct connections to the main Italian Internet exchanges and no reliance on transit carriers for critical traffic.

Proactive monitoring on a proprietary system

Connection issues detected before they lead to service disruptions—not after a customer reports them.

Native DDoS protection included

It works transparently across all connections, at no additional cost and without the need for a dedicated appliance.

Integrated Multi-Access Portfolio

Fiber, FWA, SD-WAN, MPLS, P2P radio links: Every location has the right technology without having to manage multiple vendors.

BGP Support and Autonomous Systems

For organizations that have their own AS or intend to apply for one.

Discover the other services that make up the system

Abacus Managed Services covers the entire lifecycle of digital infrastructure through integrated service areas. Each area is available individually or in combination, but it is through their integration that the greatest value is generated.
